I started working on our new bed frame today! We have been thinking about upgrading from a queen size to a king size bed for a while, and now the time has come! I had some top tubes bent at Ross Wheeling Services in Bloomington, because I was not able to do it on my own, and they did a very nice job! Today was a lot of drilling, cutting, and assembling, to get the head and foot boards ready for welding! Here are the pictures of the process!

All the parts after cutting, and picking up the curved tubes from Ross Wheeling Services in Bloomington! -
Drilling the holes into the bottom rails. -
Transferring the hole locations to the top rails, and marking the end cuts. -

Drilling the holes into the curved top rail. -
The little support on the side made it very easy to drill all the holes. -
Cutting the ends of the top rail right on the mark. -
Assembly of all the parts on my welding table. The clamp in the center allowed for a good start until all the tubes lined up with the holes. -
The first one is done and ready to be welded to the bed posts, -
A closeup to show the nice fitment of the tubes in the holes.
