After having been able to install the slides into the table base, it was time to start working on the extension frames. Here are some pictures of making these frames and mounting them into the table base!

Cutting the side rails of the extension frames. -
Drilling the mounting holes with a step bit. -
This allows me to weld flange nuts into the rails to mount the slides. -
Transferring the drill pattern from one rail to another. -
Holding the flange nuts in place for TIG welding. -
Bolting the first frame rail to the slides as a test. -
All the frame rails are drilled, welded and test mounted! Here they are all extended. -
Here they are all retracted! -

After cutting the front and back pieces, I’m welding the frames together. -
These pieces of flat stock will hold the table leaves in the extension frames. -
