Yesterday all the parts for the track were ready for pickup at JIT Powder Coating and delivered to the jobsite. We had the installation sheduled for today, and I had some help to get the long and heavy pieces up and mounted to the wall. Yesterday I fabricated some simple support brackets for the track, and they were really helpfull to hold the pieces in place for assembly. Enjoy the pictures of the process!
Here is one of the support brackets. They did fit nicely over the shelf supports and hepled to establish a starting height for the track.
We lifted the individual pieces up, and connected them on the support brackets to each other.
Here is one of the joints of the track with the bracket and joint plate in place to receive the next piece of track.
Sliding the bottom sections into the top section of the mounting brackets.
Leveling the pieces and bolting them to the wall.
Here is a closeup.
Using a string for alignment to ensure the track is mounted straight along an uneven, old brick wall. It worked beautifully!
Here is a closeup of the end bracket with one of the stops installed!
