Saturday was the day when all the steel components had to be installed at the jobsite in Minneapolis. My friend, Ed Noonan, hired some additional help to get it all done. I was there to help with explaining the process of installation and to ensure that eveything was set up properly. It was a lot of work to be done in a day, but because of the combined effort of all involved, we were able to pull it off! Here are some pictures of yesterdays work!
At JIT Powder Coating Company in Farmington, all pieces were sand blasted before powder coating during the week.
Here are some of the components hanging in racks and ready for the application of the finish.
It is very interesting to see and follow the process.
After going through the powder coating line, and after cooling down, all pieces are wraped and again palletized for shipping to the jobsite on Friday.
Here is a picture of the second pallet.
Here is a closeup on thevertical adjustment for the steel components to ensure a consistenly level installation on a 54′ long and rough brick wall.
The initial prep work and layout of the individual componets on the wall took some time, but then we were off to the races.
Here is a closeup of one of the depth adjustable window surrounds..
Here is another view!
All the components are mounted to the wall.
