I just completed a simple, contemporary guard rail. It is made from a mild steel T-profile for the top rail, and square tubing for the posts. I will deliever it to the powdercoating company tomorrow. Here are the pictures to show the process!
Yesterday I was able to cut the top rail and weld it all together.
The guard rail will be mounted next to a ramped landing. This is why the rail has this drop to follow the ramp.
Here is one ot the ends of the top rail.
Today I used my plasma table to cut notches into the posts. It worked like a charm!
Here are the posts, ready for the next step.
the pieces to be welded to the tops of the posts.
