Last Friday I received a call for a rush order of heavy duty brackets. I was able to order the material before the weekend, and had everything delivered on Monday afternoon. Here are the pictures of me fabricating those brackets, made from 1/2″ and 3/8″ steel.

All the steel flat stock after cutting. -
Drilling all the mounting holes into the pieces. -
Cutting some small braces from 1/2″ steel on my plasma table. -
The braces after cleaning and grinding. -
Using my Firebox welding square to tack weld the brackets together. -
The weld bead on the inside. -
Filling the backside with one root, and two filler passes. -
