The old wooden privacy screen under a deck showed its age and needed to be replaced. This gave me the opportunity to put my CNC plasma table to work. Here are the images showing the process of building this decorative new screen.
Cutting the screens on my plasma table. I drew the design in CAD, imported it into the CAD-CAM software, programmed the pattern, and started cutting.
Welded some adjustable mounts to the frames
Here is one of the mounting plates.
Another shot.
The screens are welded into the frames.
Making the two connecting rods for the center.
I just ponded these nuts into the round tubing.
TIG welded the nuts in place.
The two frames are bolted together on my welding table.
Another view.
A close up of the connection rods in place.
The worked very nice and allowed me to easily transport the frames individually.
Here are the final pictures of the privacy screen installed.
Another viev.
